Rich’s Auto Center Team

Rich Elzey – started Rich’s Auto Center in 1998. Rich says he has worked on cars ever since his first car broke down two weeks after he bought it. Rich graduated from Northrop High School and went on to get an Associates Degree from ITT Automotive Division and then an Associates degree in Practical Electronics from Indiana Purdue Fort Wayne. Rich continues to expand his knowledge through many advance classes. Rich has one son, Derek, who lives and works in Indianapolis. Rich enjoys his time away from the shop participating in any sport. Now in his older years, his favorites are golf and boating and swimming with the grand kids.

Cindy Elzey – Cindy has been part of the Rich’s Auto Center family since inception; however only recently actually started working at the shop. Cindy graduated from New Haven High School and got her Bachelors Degree in Communication and Management many years later (early 2000). Cindy was the first female to sell office equipment in Fort Wayne and did so for almost 25 years. She then went on to sell print advertising for a publishing company in Berne. Cindy has two children – Benjamin & Casee a fantastic daughter-in-law and two wonderful grand kids. Cindy likes sitting on her back patio watching the world go by and nature at its finest. She also likes spending time with family and friends.

Tim Fair – Tim has been at Rich’s since January 2003. Tim started his career when he was young by working on neighbors’ lawn mowers and has loved the industry since. Tim graduated from North Side High School and attended Automotive Regional Vocational School. Tim enjoys and does the heavier work at Rich’s – engines, transmissions, brakes, and our heavier trucks. Since coming to Rich’s, Tim has expanded his skills to diagnostic jobs. Tim earned his certification as an ASE Master Certified Technician and attends on-going classes on scanners and computers and the latest technology. Tim and his wife, Pat, enjoy watching sports on TV and playing pool.

 

Jeremy - Rich's Auto Center Fort Wayne

 

Jeremy Leis – Jeremy has been at Rich’s since May 2003. Jeremy grew up with computers and felt that the automotive repair world would be fun. Jeremy attended ITT Technical Institute. Jeremy has worked in automotive repair since about 1991. He enjoys the challenge of running concerns – check engine light, running bad and electrical – and also does all other types of repairs. Jeremy is ASE Master Certified plus 1L Certified (advance diagnostics). Jeremy stays abreast of new technology and the latest diagnostic and repair information by attended on-going training classes. Jeremy enjoys just relaxing when away from work.

 

Nick - Rich's Auto Center Fort Wayne

 

 

Nick Brown – Nick came to Rich’s Auto Center in August 2005 from Chicago. Nick felt automotive repair seemed interesting since he was mechanically inclined. He also felt it would be a good career. Nick had two years vocational training in high school and then graduated from UTI in Chicago with a degree in Automotive, Diesel and Industrial Training. Nick is ASE Master Certified, L1 Certified, and Service Consultant Certified. Nick enjoys doing all types of automotive repair – diagnostic, electrical, brakes, heavy work and air conditioning. Nick enjoys his life away from the shop playing his guitar, fishing, and boating along with partying and having fun with family and friends.

 

Tyler - Rich's Auto Center Fort Wayne

 

 

Tyler Woods – Tyler came to Rich’s Auto Center in April 2009 as an Anthis Student while at Snyder High School. After graduating from high school, Tyler went on and got his two year degree from Ivy Tech Community College. Tyler loves working on cars – you name the problem and Tyler will figure out what is wrong and is more than happy to fix it. Tyler is ASE Certified and working on his master certification. Outside the shop, Tyler enjoys golf, paintball, and drawing.

 

Kip - Rich's Auto Center Fort Wayne

 

 

Kip Hampshire – Kip started working as a service adviser at Rich’s in 2012. Kip followed family members and started working on cars at a young age. Kip studied automotive training in high school and then went on to ITT Technical College. Kip has worked as an automotive technician so is well equipped to inform you of your automotive needs. Kip enjoys fishing and camping when away from Rich’s.
